Connect Care Fall 2024 Upgrade

The Fall 2024 Upgrade to the Connect Care clinical information system will occur on September 12, with changes to most Connect Care applications. 

These changes are primarily enhancements and will affect all prescribers using Connect Care. General summaries of the change impacts for Ambulatory and Inpatient Orders are available in comprehensive slide decks linked below, with additional slide decks detailing track-specific changes. These slide decks include links to tip sheets hosted by Epic; users will need to have an Epic account to view them. A tip sheet specific to changes to Mobility (Haiku/Canto) is also linked below. 

As Anesthesia is the most affected group for this upgrade, a webinar to preview the changes specific to Anesthesia prescribers will be held on September 3 (16:30–17:15) and September 9 (12:00–12:45); click here to register. Dragon Medical One Upgrade

In addition to the general upgrades, on October 7, Connect Care's in-system dictation solution, Dragon Medical One (DMO), will be upgraded to a new version. This upgrade will primarily change the look and feel of the DragonBar (see below image). The application will also remember where a user last left the DragonBar on the screen, and will reappear in the same place at the next login. All other functionality will be the same.
