CMIO Roles

• Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO)

• Associate Chief Medical Information Officers (ACMIOs): One per zone; oversee Connect Care prescriber needs at a zone level

• Physician Design Leads (PDLs): Associated with Clinical Systems Improvement (CSI) teams; provincial prescriber subject matter experts on enterprise-wide system build/workflow 

• Provincial Medical Informatics Leads (PMILs): Associated with Clinical Systems Improvement (CSI) teams; oversee prioritization and progress on optimization requests, clinical content needs, prescriber comms/engagement

• Program Chief Medical Information Officers (PCMIOs): Oversee Connect Care prescriber needs at a program level

• Senior Medical Informatics Advisors (SMIAs): Associated with zonal teams; provide expertise, coordination and management of prescriber needs and issues at the zone and site level

• Senior Advisors: Associated with specific CSI teams; experts on both new hire and optimization prescriber training and available training resources

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) Educators: Associated with zonal teams; experts on prescriber training and provide direct end user support

• Site Medical Informatics Lead (SMILs): Oversee Connect Care prescriber needs at the level of site(s)/region

• CMIO Master Builders: Design, prototype, and test Connect Care solutions for prescriber needs (often complex)

• CMIO Builders: Bridge clinical and technical teams to facilitate solutions for prescriber needs and promote good clinical information system (CIS) design and use
