In-Person Basic Training
In order to participate in your in-person basic training, review the following:
1. Starting Your Training
To confirm you are ready to start your training, complete this Pre-Class Checklist: ahs-cis.ca/trainingpreclasscheck. An AHS Fit to Work Questionnaire must also be completed prior to class.
Review instructions and maps on how to get to your training room (search by site and room name).
Please arrive 15 minutes before class to keep classes running on time.
If you are registered in basic training that is split into two sessions, ensure you have registered for both sessions (Part 1 and Part 2).
We have scheduled your training session to accommodate lifestyle breaks and allow adequate time to complete your basic training session. You may want to bring food and water to your training session. There is typically not sufficient time (and, in some locations, no facilities) available to purchase refreshments during class breaks. We apologize that we are unable to provide catering for this session.
If you have questions or are struggling, please email us at help.cmio@ahs.ca.
COVID-19 Precautions
Your personal safety and well-being are important. The following requirements have been instituted for all in-person training classes:
Hand sanitizer will be provided and must be used before entering class.
Cleaning supplies for workstations will be provided – please use these to clean your workstation before and after your training session.
All attendees will be expected to wear a face mask while in class. Area Trainers and Super Users will be using face shields and/or masks.
An AHS Fit to Work Questionnaire must be completed prior to class. The form can be accessed from this link: Fit for Work Questionnaire.
Social distancing norms may not be possible within classroom settings. If you are concerned about attending in class training, please consider registering for a virtual training session as an alternative option.
